Diapers

Babies need lots of wet and poopy diapers in the first few days to weeks of life in order to demonstrate that they are getting enough breastmilk and/or supplementation.  However, exclusively breastfed infants can vary stool patterns considerably after this time.  Some infants will continue to stool once or multiple times a day, and others can go for days and even weeks without stooling.  This is different than constipation in a baby receiving only formula, which is not absorbed in the same way as breastmilk.
