Colostrum

Colostrum can start to appear in the first or second trimester of pregnancy (the timing is dependent on whether moms that have had babies before – i.e. it occurs earlier with previous births).  This is normal and a good sign that mom’s breasts are preparing to make milk.  The colostrum is usually yellow in color.
