Yes, continuing to breastfeed while trying to conceive and then becoming pregnant is SAFE.

Some of the drugs used for infertility treatment, such as hormones, can reduce milk production. Specific oral medication like an aromatase inhibitor (“AI” – names like anastrozole or letrozole) that may be used in some circumstances are unfortunately not compatible with lactation, and alternatives considered.
“Tandem” breastfeeding is also safe for a newborn baby with an older sibling. If you don’t have a lot of milk, let the baby nurse first and use both sides if necessary. With very ample milk production, a baby will need just one breast and older sibling can nurse at the same time. However, you will want to switch breasts each feed to avoid becoming lopsided if one child stimulates your breast more than the other.
