Things I Love
Music
Rachel Garlin is a San Francisco-based singer-songwriter who tours internationally and headlines at folk festivals across the US. She has a background in education and composes songs for special projects. I am fortunate to have known Rachel since med school, and she took me up on my request for her to create a piece about breastfeeding. “I saw you nursing today” is a clever folksong describing how all mammals breastfeed their young.
I saw you nursing today- Rachel Garlin
Local Santa Barbara Artists
Janey Cinzori, a local Santa Barbara artist, makes beautiful coastal-themed pieces through her Ocean Jewelry brand. She created a line for breastfeeding and also developed a breast cancer survivorship line that celebrates women warriors.
Jennifer Lujan De Nunzio of One Last Glass also poured an amazing Dulce De Leche breastfeeding candle as well as a Central Coast Cure candle to honor breast cancer survivorship.
Santa Barbara Company is a woman-owned and green-certified florist that sources flowers direct from small farms to support local growers and reduce the carbon footprint of shipping. Their bouquets are amazing for a postpartum mama or anyone else in your life that you love
