Surrogacy
It is possible to induce lactation or in some cases, obtain breastmilk from a surrogate carrying your baby. Also, because parents often use surrogates after years of heartbreaking infertility, I remind patients that mental health remains paramount. While parents are overjoyed to have a baby, mixed and confusing feelings are also very common and important to explore. Gabrielle Union’s book ‘Got Anything Stronger?’ explores some of her experience with surrogacy in honest and real detail.
