Sweating

Postpartum moms SWEAT.  A.  LOT.  The postpartum low-estrogen state during lactation can produce significant sweating, hot flashes, and other related concerns such as vaginal dryness and pain during sex.  If you measure your temperature during one of these sweating episodes, it can appear as though you have a fever.  Flushing, heart racing, and sweating also can occur with panic attacks (which can be common in moms suffering from perinatal anxiety).
